You will be hard-pressed to find a more brilliant and more caring human being on this planet than Rodney Morris aka Stuey. The Guru got his start in apparel and gaming while in the Trap Heals Fellowship which focuses on providing housing and resources to Black creatives with something special to give to the world. While in the program, Stuey mastermind Bully the Bag Entertainment, a lifestyle brand encompassing inspiration, fashion, and gaming.
In his latest endeavor, Stuey has launched a campaign called "Stop the Fent," a response to the devastating impact of the Fentanyl crisis on countless lives worldwide. Having personally experienced incarceration, group homes, violence, and drug abuse, Stuey resonates deeply with the struggles faced by many in underserved communities. The struggles that can lead one to self-medicate. Unfortunately, these days everything from weed to cocaine and meth can be laced with lethal amounts of fentanyl. In a recent conversation with him about why he felt it necessary to launch this campaign he said “It's more than just asking people to stop doing drugs… we have to ask why people are doing drugs…and where they are getting their drugs from”.
The “Stop the Fent" hats are popping up all over Los Angeles and in artist communities around the country honoring those creatives lost to fentanyl overdoses like Michael K Williams, Mac Miller, Coolio, Taylor Hawkins, and more. The campaign aims to inspire people to make safer choices should they choose to partake in any controlled substances, and provide people with information on safety measures and access to drug rehabilitation.
“Stop the Fent” is more than a mere fashion statement; it is a movement that embodies a fusion of style and purpose. follow @stopthefest.us and explore the marketplace a grab a hat. When you do snap a photo and #stopthefent
